Welcome Back
Welcome back to campus! We hope you had a relaxing summer break and are ready to tackle the Fall semester. This semester is going to be an exciting one, with lots of opportunities for learning and growth. We can’t wait to see what you all accomplish.

Demon Days
The start of the Fall semester signals the beginning of Demon Days. Whether you are new to campus or a rising senior, Demon Days has something for everyone. The schedule is full of activities to help you explore your Northwestern State home, connect with old friends, meet new ones, and celebrate the start of the school year with fellow Demons and the NSU community.

Move In Day
Residence Hall Move In Day will take place on Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13. Any students, faculty and staff that are wanting to volunteer for Move In Day can do so here.

New Student Convocation
This event is for first-year students only.

New Student Convocation is on Sunday, August 14 at 5:00pm in A.A. Fredericks Fine Arts Auditorium. First year students can RSVP on their myNSU under the “Alerts” tab. At New Student Convocation, students will receive their entering year pins.

Following New Student Convocation, first-year students are invited to the President’s Picnic at the Columns on Normal Hill. If you need any assistance, feel free to call (318) 357-5559 or email the FYE team at fye@nsula.edu.

Faculty and Staff Institute
Date: Monday, August 8, 2022
Time: 8:15am (coffee/refreshments) | 9:00am (start)
Location: Friedman Student Union Ballroom

The Institute will include a State of the University address, recognition of our Endowed Chairs and Professors, Excellence in Teaching Awards, Outstanding Advisor Award, and introduction of new Faculty and Staff. A panel discussion will follow, focused on Academic planning, the University Budget, Strategic Initiatives, Economic Development opportunities, and Recruiting/Retention efforts.

Following the Institute, the Faculty/Staff luncheon will be held at Iberville Dining Hall beginning at 11:30am.
