Northwest Louisiana Literary Rally
NSU is host to 1000+ students for the annual district literary rally this Saturday.  Thank you to all the volunteers that will be assisting. NSU has the ideal opportunity to showcase its stunning campus, as well as the warmth of its faculty, staff, and students, through this event.

Flavor of Louisiana
The Louisiana Seafood Board has graciously partnered with the NSU Foundation on this event which allows us to showcase specialty dishes from some of the greatest restaurants across Louisiana. This year we welcome back our special guest, Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser.

The Flavor of Louisiana will begin at 6 p.m. on March 17, 2023 with music, cocktails, and specialty dishes at Northwestern State University’s Prather Coliseum. In conjunction with the event, the colleges and organizations will have their very own fundraising booths.

Louisiana Meauxmentum Summit
This week, I, along with several employees of NSU, attended the 2023 Louisiana Meauxmentum Summit in Baton Rouge. The summit, organized by the Louisiana Board of Regents, was designed to hold intensive discussions on The Momentum Approach, with the goal of helping the state double the number of working adults with postsecondary credentials and education by 2030.

I look forward to continued discussions regarding the Momentum Approach and how NSU can improve access to education for Louisiana’s workforce.
