We are excited to host an honors percussion ensemble at NSU on April 10-11, 2026. The event will include a day of rehearsal on Friday, April 10 and performance as part of the NSU Percussion Day on April 11. Nominated students will perform large percussion repertoire and participate in a steel band.
Registration is $40 for each student with a $15 discount if the student has earned a spot in all-state or if they can get a nomination from their director. The nomination is a short paragraph speaking to the student’s musical abilities with their strengths and weaknesses. The nomination needs to be submitted with this registration form. Registration costs will cover lunch for Friday and Saturday, and an event shirt.
Music will for the percussion ensemble will be sent out ahead of time. Students will learn how to play the steel pans when they are here with us on campus. There are limited spots due to instrumentation so sign up today. Registration closes on February 15. Other event details will be sent once the registration is closed and the roster is set.
