The Investiture Ceremony – 10:00 a.m. A.A. Fredericks Fine Arts Auditorium
The Investiture Ceremony is one of the oldest traditions in academia. The installation of a new president is a ceremony of dignity with many academic traditions and procedures. Faculty from Northwestern State University march alongside delegations from other colleges and universities in an academic procession.

The Community Reception – 12:00 p.m. Sylvan Friedman Student Union Ballroom
Following the ceremonial Investiture of Dr. Marcus Jones, all are welcome to attend the Community Reception in the Sylvan Friedman Student Union Ballroom. The Investiture Community Reception is open to the public and starts at approximately 12:00 p.m.

From the South: Take I-49 North to exit 138. Take Hwy 6 East (right) into town to the fourth traffic signal (approximately 4.3 miles) at the Main Gates of Northwestern. Turn right and the Fine Arts Auditorium is about a block on the right. From the North: Take I-49 South to exit 138. Take Hwy 6 East (left) into town to the fourth traffic signal (approximately 4.3 miles) at the Main Gates of Northwestern. Turn right and the Fine Arts Auditorium is about a block on the right.
